Suns and moons, three of each

Puzzle No. 1 ·

Play today's puzzle

Fill a 6×6 grid with suns and moons: three of each in every row and column, never three alike in a line, and the = and × signs say which neighbours match.

How to play

  1. Fill every square of the 6×6 grid with a sun or a moon.
  2. Every row and every column holds exactly three suns and three moons.
  3. No more than two of the same may sit next to each other in a row or column: never three in a line.
  4. An = sign between two squares means they are the same; a × means they are different.
  5. Tap a square once for a sun, twice for a moon, a third time to clear it. Squares that start filled are fixed.
