How to play Futoshiki

Futoshiki adds comparison signs to a number grid. On a 4×4 board, each row and column needs the numbers 1 to 4 once each. A 5×5 board uses 1 to 5; a 6×6 board uses 1 to 6. The signs give you extra information about neighboring squares. There are no Sudoku boxes.

  1. Use each number from 1 to the board size once in every row and column.
  2. Keep the printed numbers in place. Fill the empty squares.
  3. Follow every comparison sign. Its pointed end faces the smaller number; its open end faces the larger number.
