Tango difficulty levels
Unlimited mode makes a new Tango board every time you press New puzzle, and every board has exactly one solution. Pick a level above; this device remembers your choice.
| Level | Board |
|---|---|
| Easy | 6×6 grid; every move follows straight from the rules |
| Medium | 6×6 grid; a few moves need you to think one step ahead |
| Hard | 6×6 grid; fewest clues; many moves need you to think ahead |
The daily Tango uses the same three levels: easy early in the week, hard at the weekend.
How to play Tango
- Fill every square of the 6×6 grid with a sun or a moon.
- Every row and every column holds exactly three suns and three moons.
- No more than two of the same may sit next to each other in a row or column: never three in a line.
- An = sign between two squares means they are the same; a × means they are different.
- Tap a square once for a sun, twice for a moon, a third time to clear it. Squares that start filled are fixed.
