Today's grid, titled "Thunder", gives you 10 digits up front. Start with the 2: it is the most common given (3 of them), which leaves it the fewest places to go. You get three 2s, two 1s, two 3s, two 4s and one 5. One cell is decided before you place anything: row 2, column 1.

Hint 1: where to start
Row 2, column 1 can only take a 6, because nothing else fits once you check the row, the column and the 2×3 box.
Hint 2: a solid foothold
Next, row 1, column 1 must be a 2: the other five digits are all taken in that row, column or box.
Hint 3: nearly there
Third, row 5, column 6 can only take a 6, because every other digit already sits in its row, its column or its box. From there the rest falls into place.
